I have seen hundreds of cases where a stream test mode would be very beneficial. I don't know exactly how it would work but the basic idea is to broadcast without allowing anyone but yourself (the streamer) to see. This way you could test video and audio settings without looking like a freak when things don't work as expected. The ability to invite specific users to watch and help in the test and setup process would be cool as well.
