I agree. Only risk is that some frames of the animation could have spammy graphical text, offensive or pornographic material embedded in them. You can even make a really long frame within the gif so it appears to be a static image, then flash stuff suddenly later. So the upload script would have to "look for" this kind of loophole. They'd also have to impose a size limit as animated GIFs can be HUGE in filesize with all their frames. Animated panel titles would be cool though.
