It's 2021.Every app has this, even if it's a premium feature.The Brave browser on Android is a better client than your native client for this and other reasons.Also, an audio-only option (which goes hand-in-hand with background play - no video data, wasted cell data).
Seriously, why hasn’t this function been added yet.
